Death is nothing at all,
I have only slipped away into the
next room.
I am I and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other,
that we are still.
Call me by my old familiar name,
Speak to me in the easy way which
you always used.
Laugh as we always laughed together.
Play, smile, think of me. Pray for me.
Let my name be the household word
that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effort.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same as it ever was;
There is absolutely unbroken
continuity.
Why should I be out of your mind
because I am out of your sight?
I am but waiting for you, for an
interval,
Somewhere very near, just around
the corner.
All is well.
Nothing is past; nothing is lost.
One brief moment and all will be as it
was before -
only better, infinitely happier and
forever.
We will all be one together with
Christ.

Do not think of him/her as gone
away,
His/her journey's just begun.
Life holds so many facets,
this earth is only one.
Just think of him/her as resting,
from the sorrow and the tears,
in a place of warmth and comfort,
where there are no days and years.
Think of how he/she must be wishing
that we could know today,
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of him/her as living
in the hearts of those he/she touched
For nothing is ever lost,
and he/she was loved so much.

Merciful Saviour,
hear our humble prayer,
For NAME your servant and all who
passed beyond life's care;
Though sin has touched them,
yet their weakness spare
O grant them pardon,
Jesus Saviour blest,
And give their spirits
light and endless rest.
O gentle Saviour,
Lamb for sinners slain,
Look on your servants,
cleanse their hearts of stain:
Your cross has won them
everlasting gain.
Lord, at your passion
love did conquer fear;
Now, share that triumph
with these souls so dear;
Banish their sorrows,
let your light appear

There is a little place marked 'private'
that leads to our hearts.
Beyond that gate are memories
from which we never part.
It broke our hearts to lose you
but you did not go alone.
Part of us went with you
when God called you home.
For all you did for those you knew.
For the good times we shared
and the love you showed.
For the light in your eyes
and your heart of gold.
For always being there
and showing that you cared.
We will miss you so much,
it's so hard to bear.

Death leaves a heartache
No one can heal,
Love leaves a memory
No one can steal.

I said a prayer for you today
And I know God must have heard
I felt the answer in my heart
Although He spoke no word.
I didn't ask for wealth or fame
I knew you wouldn't mind.
I asked Him to send treasures
Of a far more lasting kind.
I asked that He be near you
At the start of each new day.
To grant you health and blessings
And friends to share the way.
I asked for happiness for you
In all things great and small
But it was for His loving care
I prayed for most of all.

John 14:1-3
"Do not let your hearts be troubled.
Trust in God; trust also in me. In my
Father's house are many rooms; if it
were not so, I would have told you. I
am going there to prepare a place for
you. And if I go and prepare a place
for you, I will come back and take you
to be with me that you also may be
where I am.

Corinthians 1:3-5
Praise be to the God and Father of
our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father
of compassion and the God of all
comfort, who comforts us in all our
troubles, so that we can comfort
those in any trouble with the
comfort we ourselves have received
from God. For just as the sufferings
of Christ flow over into our lives,
so also through Christ our comfort
overflows.

One night I dreamed a dream.
As I was walking along the beach
with my Lord.
Across the dark sky flashed
scenes from my life.
For each scene, I noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand,
One belonging to me
and one to my Lord.
After the last scene of my life
flashed before me,
I looked back at the
footprints in the sand.
I noticed that at many times
along the path of my life,
especially at the very lowest
and saddest times,
there was only one set of footprints.
This really troubled me, so
I asked the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said once I decided
to follow you,
You'd walk with me all the way.
But I noticed that during the saddest and
most troublesome times of my life,
there was only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why, when I needed
You the most, You would leave me."
He whispered, "My precious child, I love
you and will never leave you
Never, ever, during your trials and
testings.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you."

Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you; do
not be dismayed, for I am your God. I
will strengthen you and help you; I will
uphold you with my righteous right
hand.

Philippians 4:7
And the peace of God, which transcends
all understanding, will guard
your hearts and your minds in Christ
Jesus.

John 14:27
Peace I leave with you; my peace I
give you. I do not give to you as the
world gives. Do not let your hearts
be troubled and do not be afraid.
